Protein design
De novo protein design is an emerging and rapidly evolving field that enables the creation of entirely new protein structures tailored for specific functions. At GIOS Biostructures, we leverage cutting-edge computational methods to design proteins based on a given target, scaffold, or sequence. With access to advanced GPU computing infrastructure, we can generate and refine complex protein architectures, including large and intricate designs that were previously unattainable. Utilizing state-of-the-art sequence generation neural networks, our approach allows for precise control over structural and functional properties.
Protein engineering
In addition to de novo design, we specialize in protein engineering to enhance the solubility and stability of demanding targets. Our proprietary GIOS MESO platform™ is specifically developed to transform insoluble proteins, including membrane proteins, into soluble, well-expressed variants suitable for downstream applications. These optimized designs seamlessly integrate into our protein-to-structure service, ensuring that even the most complex proteins can be successfully expressed, purified, and structurally characterized using X-ray crystallography and other biophysical methods.
